In February Mercedes-Benz unveiled a subtly facelifted C-class. The faster versions remained unexposed, but now also subtopper AMG 43 must believe.
An episode of ‘Facelift Friday’ is probably not in the new C-class, for that the changes are too minimal. Nevertheless, Mercedes-Benz has the car on a large number of points against the light held, something that obviously can not ignore the fast AMG 43. The subtopper, who has to share the empire with the considerably stronger AMG 63, gets a new grille with a double horizontal bar. Other bumpers and modernized lighting ensure that the update is also visible at the rear. Here, however, especially the outlet is striking: instead of trapezoidal, split ends the 43 now four round copies. In the interior, the facelift includes a new digital tool.
More important is what happens under the skin. The blown 3, 0-liter V6 no longer delivers 367 hp, but instead has no less than 390 hp. The torque of 520 Nm remains the same. The higher power yields a 0-100 time of 4, 6 instead of 4, 9 seconds. The new Mercedes-AMG C43 has its debut, also as Estate, at the Geneva Motor Show that starts tomorrow.
